Station Tally: March 14 to March 30.

Here is a summary of birds banded and recaptured at First Landing during March 2007:
Sharp-shinned Hawk, 1 on 3/30; Mourning Dove, 1 on 3/25; Yellow-bellied Sapsucker, 2; Downy Woodpecker, 2; Pileated Woodpecker, 1 on 3/21; Eastern Phoebe, 5, first on 3/24; Carolina Chickadee, 9; Brown-headed Nuthatch, 1 on 3/25; Brown Creeper, 3; Carolina Wren, 2; Winter Wren, 1 on 3/30; Golden-crowned Kinglet, 17; Ruby-crowned Kinglet, 3; Eastern Bluebird, 2; Hermit Thrush, 5; Brown Thrasher, 3; Orange-crowned Warbler, 1 on 3/21; Yellow-rumped Warbler (Myrtle) 41; Pine Warbler, 6; Yellow Palm Warbler, 1 on 3/25; Louisiana Waterthrush, 1 on 3/30; Northern Cardinal, 6; Fox Sparrow, 3; Song Sparrow, 17; Swamp Sparrow, 18; White-throated Sparrow, 1 on 3/18; Dark-eyed Junco, 6; House Finch, 2. Plus there were 58 recaptures, including Eastern Tufted Titmouse, 2.
Summary: 29 species, 161 new, 58 recaps.
